PostgreSQL 18 · 1 primary + 2 standbys
Running Postgres yourself is a second job.
You set out to build a product. Here is what comes with hosting your own database.
Backups you have to script
Schedules, retention and restore drills. Easy to skip, until the day you need one.
Failover you have to build
Standbys, promotion and a runbook that nobody has tested under pressure.
Pooling you have to tune
Connection limits and PgBouncer settings, and the page you get when you hit them.
Access you have to lock down
Network rules, TLS, users and roles, and credentials to rotate. All of it on you.
We take care of the database. You get a connection string.
Everything you need from Postgres. Nothing you don't.
One product, run properly. Here is what you get.
Backups you never have to think about
Daily automated backups, plus a one-click backup whenever you want one. Keep them for 7 to 90 days depending on your plan. Restores always create a new database, so your original is never overwritten.
High availability when you need it
Run one primary with two standbys and automatic failover. Switch it on per database, within your plan's CPU, memory and storage.

Private by default
Your database stays private until you open it. Opt in to public access and lock it to an IP allowlist. Connections use TLS, and data is encrypted at rest.

Point-in-time recovery
Go back to the moment before things went wrong. Available on Professional and above.
Grow it, and see what it is doing
Resize CPU, memory and storage as you grow, and change plan whenever you need to. Live logs and CPU, memory and connection metrics sit right in the dashboard.

Frequently Asked Questions
?Which PostgreSQL versions can I run?-
PostgreSQL 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18. Version 18 is the default for new databases.
?How do backups and restores work?-
Backups run daily, and you can take one on demand at any time. Retention is 7 days on Hobby, 14 on Starter, 30 on Professional and 90 on Business. A restore always creates a new database, so your original is never overwritten.
?Is high availability included?-
You can run one primary with two standbys and automatic failover, and choose it per database. The standbys count against your plan's CPU, memory and storage, so very small plans may not have room for them.
?Which plans have point-in-time recovery?-
Professional, Business and Enterprise. Hobby and Starter have daily backups without point-in-time recovery.
?How do I connect, and is my database public?-
Databases are private by default. You can opt in to public access and restrict it to an IP allowlist. Connections use TLS, and the dashboard shows ready-to-copy psql and JDBC connection strings.
?Can I resize a database later?-
Yes. You can change CPU, memory and storage, and change plan, from the dashboard. Storage can grow but not shrink, and a resize can briefly interrupt connections.
?How does billing work, and can I cancel?-
Each plan is a monthly price in USD or Naira, paid with Paystack. There is no free tier: Hobby is $5/mo (₦8,000/mo). You can cancel at any time.
?What happens if I delete a database?-
For 7 days after you delete a database you can restore it from the dashboard. After that it is permanently deleted.
